Charger Races

On April 26th Powers Catholic High School will be having our first Charger Races. We are hoping that you will attend this event!!

The Charger Races is a life size board game. Sponsors receive a wooden horse that they get to decorate. There are six horses per race and there are nine races during the night. Each of the racing horses gets an assigned lane. Volunteers throw two huge dice against a wall, the horse whose lane number comes up on a dice moves one spot. The first horse to the last spot wins. Everyone buys funny money and places bets on which horse is going to win. If you pick the winner the house pays you (e.g. 3-1 odds) three dollars for every dollar you wagered. Funny money is also used to “vote” for the best dressed horse and best hat of the night. There will also be a silent auction during the event.
