Registration
Late afternoon and evening registration appointments are available, by appointment only, from 3:30-8:00 PM on the following dates: Monday, March 3rd, Please call the school for an appointment. The Explore test must be taken before registration - the next test is on Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. at Powers. Parochial Schools Powers counselors will visit the area parochial schools to register eighth grade students. Parents are encouraged to make appointments, through the elementary schools, to participate in the registration process. At the time of registration, a $50 registration fee, with a maximum of $100 per family, is due. Evening Registrations Powers counselors will be available to register new students in the Guidance Office at Powers. Please call the school to schedule an appointment. An unofficial copy of the student's transcript from his or her previous school and Explore scores (for eighth grade students only) are required at the registration appointment. (We will have the scores for those students who took the Explore test given by Powers.) The student is expected to attend the registration appointment along with a parent, parents, or guardians. Late Registrations Although we will test and register students throughout June and August, those students who register before June will have the best opportunity to be selected for special academic programs which we offer.
