When are my exams?
Wednesday, May 23rd Regular school day: C hour Graduation Practice
G hour exam, D hour exam
Exams are the length of the class period.
Thursday, May 24th Seniors will attend A and B hour, Senior Mass at 10:30 am
E hour exam, F hour exam
Friday, May 25th A, B, C, hour exams dismissal at 11:04
*In the event of a “Senior Skip Day” or “Senior Prank”, we reserve the right to extend the senior final exams for A, B & C to Tuesday, May 29th.
Are there other events I must attend?
Thursday, May 31st 8:30 am Senior Breakfast, followed by Senior Honors, beginning at 10:30 am
Please note: The Senior Breakfast is a special event for our Seniors only. Parents and other guests are not invited to this event.
Sunday, June 3rd 1:30 pm Commencement begins at 2 pm (will last approximately one hour)
Optional activity (highly recommended)
Sunday, June 3rd 10:00 pm – 4:00 am Project Graduation
Tickets must be purchased in advance, held at Genesys Athletic Club
What is the dress code for the senior activities?
The senior activities include; Senior Mass, Senior Breakfast, Honors and Graduation. Your attendance is required for all of these events.
The dress code is:
Gentlemen – dress shirt & tie, dress pants, dress shoes, and be clean shaven. Absolutely no tennis shoes!
Ladies – Dress blouse with dress slacks or skirt, dress. Dresses may not be strapless or spaghetti straps. Dresses and skirts must be no shorter than 5 inches above the knee and may not be snug/form fitting. Dress shoes may not exceed 3 inch heels. Absolutely no tennis shoes!
Please note: If the above dress guidelines are not followed for Senior Mass, all students will be required to wear traditional school uniform for the remaining senior activities.
For all seniors: Graduation gowns will be worn for Senior Mass and Senior Honors.
Graduation gowns and caps will be worn for Commencement.
Please be sure your gown is steamed or ironed for these events.

The law requires that we issue your diploma when all requirements have been completed.
These requirements include your credits completed (if applicable, summer school course credits), service hours completed, and financial and/or discipline accounts cleared.
The law does not require us to allow you to participate in these senior events, including graduation. Participation in these events requires appropriate attire and continued good conduct.
Other items to note:
Cap and Gown Distribution: Caps and gowns will be distributed on Monday, May 7th.Students will not receive gowns unless all financial and service obligations have been met.
Final Transcripts: Final transcripts will be mailed around the 21stof June provided that all obligations have been met. On Graduation Sunday, seniors will complete a Final Transcript Form indicating where their final transcript is to be mailed. This will be done in your homeroom where you will also receive your diploma. Changes taking place after June 3rd may be called in to Mrs. Arndt in our Guidance Office.
NCAA Eligibility: Seniors should have already requested that their final transcript be sent to NCAA Clearinghouse for eligibility. Any questions, contact Mrs. Arndt in the Guidance Office.
Graduation Announcements: Seniors were given the ordering packet this past November to bring home. If you did not receive the packet you might be able to still order them at www.balfour.com.
Graduation Tickets: Each senior can receive up to seven tickets to the graduation ceremony. Tickets will be available beginning May 7th. Tickets are available from Mrs. Dockery in the Main Office. Extra tickets are not available in the office. If you feel you need more tickets, please check with your classmates who may have extras.
Graduation Photographs: A professional photographer will take the picture of each graduate as he or she is presented with his/her diploma. A free color proof will be sent to your home so you can order copies if you wish.
Conduct at Graduation: The decorum of graduation does not allow for cheering or the use of noisemakers. Please hold applause until all graduates have been recognized.
