Getting involved is one of the keys to having a great experience at Powers Catholic. Our students and families work hard, play hard and generously give of their time, talent and treasure. The opportunities afforded to students and their families are geared toward establishing a community of faith, developing confidence among our students, competence inside and outside the classroom, and contribution to the greater community as a whole. Friendships with others, service to the community, the necessity of teamwork, developing personal responsibility, and respecting the dignity and rights of others are hallmarks of Powers Catholic. Learning and living by these valuable lessons ensure a brighter future for us all.

The Impact of Giving Gifts from Powers alumni, parents, and friends have shaped the campus landscape, allowing new buildings to rise as knowledge expands and students’ needs evolve. They have made it possible for students of modest means to attend Powers, established scholarships, and provided funding to help complete the vision for Powers students and the greater Flint community.
These gifts have made Powers what it is today by strengthening programs and projects, supporting new initiatives, and enhancing classrooms, laboratories, libraries, playing fields, and the family environment.
This support is the foundation of every aspect of the Powers experience, ensuring that the school can grow as knowledge grows and thrive in the future.
Giving Back Powers families of every generation are united through the tradition of giving back. Some give money; others donate time and expertise; many provide a combination.
Their reasons are as diverse as they are -- many who received financial aid as undergraduates are eager to provide the same kind of assistance to current and future students. Some are motivated by the desire to give young men and women an education equal to the extraordinary one they experienced. Others have a keen interest in a particular area of study, and want to support the students and faculty members in that discipline. A number want to help keep their fellow alumni engaged with their alma mater, or to help Powers recruit new generations of students. Still others want to provide new buildings or facilities to ensure that Powers has the physical resources it needs to stay on the leading edge of teaching and learning.
At the heart of all of these reasons is a deep commitment to Powers and its mission of teaching, learning, and serving.
