In Case of Emergency
We hope we will never need it. But like any good insurance, having an Emergency Alert system in place is essential on high school campuses today.
We are implementing a mass notification system that allows Powers Catholic to reach families, students, faculty and staff in case of a campus wide emergency. This emergency might range from a weather emergency or an issue related to campus security.
Our alert system is part of our larger campus emergency response plan. In case of emergency, families, students, faculty and staff members might receive email messages on computers and or cell phones. Messages will give notifications of campus lock downs and/or basic instructions about what to do – perhaps to evacuate a building or area or to shelter in place. Messages are generally disseminated as soon as there is sufficient information available to provide constructive information to all who need it.
We plan to test our Emergency Alert Notification system in the coming months, but tests will be clearly identified for families, students, faculty and staff prior to the test.
Please note that all families are automatically registered into the system. If any contact information changes, please email the main office with updated information [email protected].
Safety of students, faculty and staff are a high priority at Powers Catholic High School. We hope families can have some peace of mind in knowing that Powers has both a notification system and an emergency response plan in place.
